The Cast Meets the Premier


This past week the students of the Eel Ground Drama Club presented their play 'After the Thunder: The Simon Bishop Story' in Frederiction.
While in Fredericton, the students were recognized at the NB Legislature for their work this in the drama, 'After the Thunder: The Simon Bishop Story" which dealt with suicide and teenage stress.
The students were personally congratulated by Premier Shawn Graham and MLA T.J. Burke. The Minister of Education also met with the students and encouraged them to keep up the great work.

Students Enjoy Successful Drama Fest


The Eel Ground Drama Club performed their play, The Simon Bishop Story, at the New Brunswick Provincial Drama Festival in Fredericton. The play won five awards:
  • Outstanding Use of Costume

  • Outstanding Teacher Director For Adapting a Community Tragedy into a Theatrical Lesson

  • Outstanding Choice of Material

  • Special Adjudicators Mention for Thoughtful Portrayal of Sensitive Subject Matter

  • Outstanding Ensemble Work
Congratulations to the students and staff involved in the production.

Get Well Mother Earth


On Monday, April 23rd, the grade 3 and 4 students participated in the Earth Day 2007 Videoconference hosted by the Atlantic Canada's First Nation Help Desk. In preparation for the videoconference, students created Get Well Cards for Mother Earth. Click on the image above to see a video slideshow of the students' work.
