Eel Ground School Receives the Chief Michael Augustine Award

The Atlantic Policy Congress of First Nations Chiefs honored the Eel Ground School with the Chief Michael Augustine Award at their Annual Atlantic Health Conference. This award recognizes the person or organization that has gone above and beyond to improve the health status in Atlantic Canada's First Nations Communities. The school received the award for it's promotion of health related issues, such as FASD and Teen Stress, through plays and media productions.
This is truly a community award. Without the support of Chief and Council, on-reserve organizations, community members and parents, the students efforts would not have been successful. Thank you.

EGTV News is Back

On October 3, 2007, members of the Miramichi Fire Department visited the school as part of their fire prevention activities. Student reporter, Andrea was there to capture the event. Watch the video above.

Eel Ground students will be posting news story videos to our website on a regular basis this year. We are hoping that some of the news stories we produce will be featured on the District 16 Report, a monthly news broadcast being produced by School District 16 High School Students.
