Students' Play Takes Awards at DramaFest

On May 1st, the grade 7 and 8 students performed their play, 'The People vs. Mary Moses' at the New Brunswick DramaFest in Fredericton. The play focuses on the effects of Fetal Alcohol Syndrome and was greatly inspired by Francis Perry, who was diagnosed with FAS when he was 19 years old.
The play recieved 6 awards: Outstanding Teacher-Director, Adjudicator's Award for Outstanding Original Script, Mention for Originality- Blacklight Puppetry, Special Adjudicator's Award for performance of Challenging Material, Special Adjudicator's Award for Technical Merit, and the Award for Outstanding Production.
Special thanks to John Bosma for all his work with the students of the Eel Ground School.
